A quick pick for any Pennsylvania draw game, and an honest look at which numbers have come up most โ including whether that actually means anything.
Numbers come from your own device's secure random generator โ the same kind of randomness the drawing machines aim for. We don't store them.
Short answer: no, and we can show it rather than just say it.
Every ball has the same chance every single draw. A ball has no memory of last week. But over a small number of draws some numbers will land more often than others purely by chance โ and that accident is what gets sold as a "system."
So we ran the test. For each game we compared how often every number actually came up against how often it should if the draws were perfectly random, using a chi-square goodness-of-fit test. The p-value is the probability that pure chance alone would produce a spread at least this uneven. Above 0.05 and there is nothing unusual to explain.
Every game we have enough draws to test came back looking exactly like random chance. Not one of them failed.
| Game | Draws | Expected per number | Most drawn | Least drawn | Random? |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Powerball | 29 | 2.1 | 21 (5), 42 (5), 58 (5) | 66 (0), 63 (0), 60 (0) | p = 0.971 |
| Mega Millions | 19 | too few draws yet to test | |||
| Match 6 | 66 | 8.08 | 37 (15), 17 (13), 34 (13) | 47 (3), 43 (4), 40 (4) | p = 0.607 |
| Cash 5 | 66 | 7.67 | 22 (16), 31 (14), 38 (13) | 26 (2), 23 (3), 15 (3) | p = 0.318 |
| Millionaire for Life | 66 | 5.69 | 51 (11), 40 (10), 41 (10) | 31 (1), 47 (2), 49 (3) | p = 0.8 |
| Treasure Hunt | 67 | 11.17 | 1 (23), 4 (15), 3 (14) | 14 (5), 16 (7), 11 (7) | p = 0.511 |
Counts come from the draws we have on file from the official Pennsylvania Lottery feed, so the window is short โ a few months, not decades. That is exactly why a number can look "hot" and mean nothing at all. Play the numbers you like.
